Position Overview:
We are seeking detail-oriented and experienced SEC Reporting Accountants to join our team and support SPACCatalyst, a US-based client. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports for publicly traded companies, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC reporting requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support quarterly and annual SEC filings while maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Work Schedule and Arrangement: 11:00 PM- 8:00 AM, Onsite
Office Location: 8th floor Skyrise 4B Building, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting schedules for SEC reporting entities.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of Quarterly Form 10-Q and Annual Form 10-K reports.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, SEC regulations, and internal accounting policies.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Perform financial statement analysis and account reconciliations to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Assist in researching and documenting technical accounting matters and new accounting standards.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes related to SEC reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information required for regulatory reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and strengthen internal controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation is highly preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in SEC reporting, financial reporting, or public accounting supporting SEC registrants.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC reporting requirements.
- Hands-on experience preparing or supporting 10-Q and 10-K filings.
- Experience preparing audit documentation and coordinating with external auditors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/reporting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and monetary benefits (in PHP):
- 45,000php - 50,000php
- New hire bonus of 5,000php
