Company Lawyer
Position Overview:
As a Company Lawyer, you will play a key role in ensuring the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations, providing legal support across various departments, and safeguarding the company’s legal interests.
Work Schedule and Arrangement: 3:00PM-12:00MN, Onsite
Office Location: 8th floor Skyrise 4B Building, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure the company complies with local, and national laws, particularly in labor, corporate, and business regulations.
- Provide legal guidance to ensure all company operations and transactions meet regulatory standards.
Contract Management and Review:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Advise management on the legal implications of various business agreements and contracts.
Corporate Governance:
- Ensure the company's internal governance policies align with legal requirements.
- Advise senior management and the board of directors on corporate governance practices and legal obligations.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution:
- Manage and represent the company in legal proceedings, including disputes with employees, clients, suppliers, or government agencies.
- Provide effective strategies for resolving legal disputes, whether through litigation, arbitration, or mediation.
Labor and Employment Law:
- Advise the HR department on labor law matters, employee relations, and workplace disputes.
- Ensure compliance with labor standards, occupational health, and safety regulations.
Compliance Reporting:
- Prepare reports on legal matters and compliance, providing timely updates to management and stakeholders.
- Assist in internal and external audits as required to ensure full legal compliance.
Legal Counsel for Business Decisions:
- Provide strategic legal counsel to support the company's business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
- Assess potential risks related to new business opportunities and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (Juris Doctor or equivalent).
- Licensed to practice law in the Philippines.
- At least 3 years of experience as a corporate lawyer
- Strong understanding of Philippine labor law, corporate governance, and contract law.
- Proven experience in handling litigation and dispute resolution.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle complex legal matters.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
Salary and monetary benefits (in PHP):
- Monthly salary of 80,000php - 100,000php
- New hire bonus of 5,000php
- Monthly Risk allowance of 2,000php
